Thangool
“Kiah,” “Blue Haven,” and “Westrock” are located in the Lawgi Dawes area of the Callide Valley. This region features predominantly developed softwood scrub country, transitioning into marginal forest country along the northern boundary.
Our breeders are managed across seven single-sire paddocks, while heifers are joined in multi-sire groups to ensure optimal genetic diversity.
Sale bulls are weaned onto leucaena pastures and managed in three contemporary groups from 400 days of age, allowing for even development and accurate performance comparisons.
Jambin
Located at Jambin in the heart of the Callide Valley, “4 Winds” and “The Meadows” comprise alluvial black soil country, ideally suited for fattening, farming, and irrigation.
Private sale bulls, steers, and cull females are finished on improved pastures and leucaena for optimal weight gain and condition. A dedicated breeder herd is also run on these properties under a multiple joining program to maintain productivity and herd performance.
Satellite Herd
In 2023, Cree expanded its operations through a strategic partnership with the satellite herd “Anadel” at Newcombe Augathella, followed by a second partnership in 2024 with Lionel Simpson at Tully. PTIC Cree females were introduced into both Western and Northern Queensland environments, with all progeny recorded through BREEDPLAN to ensure consistent performance tracking across diverse conditions.
